PRIMO CUP 2011 : RACE 1
Saturday 5th February – The first occasion was the best one… The eastern morning breeze saw the start of the race with 100 competitors taking part to the Primo Cup – Trophée Credit Suisse.
The other general recall was for one of the key fleet with the most participants and probably the most faithful series of the Primo Cup – Trophée Credit Suisse. In the series including a majority of Swiss competitors, the Italian born Cesare Vailati (Twins) wins the race at a very close shot from Silvio Spellini (Olympic). The last meters and tacks at a short distance from the finish line were decisive and even fatal for some, for the opposite current were to be dealt with by the tacticians.
